Can I use 2TB of PCIe Gen 3.0 or Gen 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD with my ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew0000?

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

Chapter 1 has the NVMe drive capacities that HP offered in the model series.

 

I see that they offered a 512 GB, 2280, PCIe-4×4, NVMe SSD, so you should be able to install a Gen 4 SSD.

 

I don't see any reason why a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD wouldn't work, even though HP only offered drives up to 1 TB in storage capacity.
