HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello had a question about my HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G1,

Noticed in a Recent Upgrade that I have an empty M.2 Slot, looking at the Maintenance and Service Guide for this model of laptop. and the max hard drive capacity it can support is a 512GB M.2 SSD SS 2280

Should I just be using the Maintenance and Service Guide Recommended Hardrives or Would any regular M.2 (NON-NVME) Hardrive work?

Specifically looking at the 2nd Hardrive slot NOT the Main Hardrive slot...

The capacity I'm looking for is 512-GB.

Basically Need help finding compatible Hardrive upgrade that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

A Samsung or comparable drive would work fine. In fact a lot of HP branded drives are just a sticker overlay on another vendor's product.
