HP OMEN X2S 6UA82UAR
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just bought a refurb HP Omen X2s with a 500GB NVMe SSD, it has a second slot for another NVMe drive but when I put a 1TB WD Black SN750  and it doesnt detect that it's even in it. Checked Disk Management, ran diskpart from CMD and nothing shows up but the main drive.

Update:

I switched the original internal SSD to the second slot and installed the 1TB to the first one, and then it shows up normally now as a second drive, not sure what difference it all made but the problem is solved. Also my bios doesn't give any RAID options that I was able to configure.

The second slot is for RAID 0 configuration, normally you need same size with the first slot.

But your machine only has one drive now, you should be able to install extra drive. May be you have to disable RAID 0 from BIOS.

Please use the following guide.

Very interesting. Looked like the first time you did not seat them properly.

My theory anyway.
