Product: HP Pavilion x360 Convertible
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, my Pavilion stoped working today with error code 3,5 = CPU/Motherboard failure.

My warranty is still valid, but I was wondering if it's okay to open up and remove the HDD before sending the laptop on service?

(Also few important school work files that I need urgent to continue working on my exams)

Yes you can remove the hard drive before sending for repair. Also you can connect the hard drive to another working computer and it will act as an external hard drive where you will be able to access you files
