I'm purchasing the Omen 17 and it comes with a 330w power adapter that's really big and heavy. Can it be provided with a smaller power adapter according my laptop specification?
It comes with a 330w because other configurations come with 4080 or 4090. But for a 4060 330w it's overkill, so a smaller one can work and achieve 100% performance with lighter and smaller adapter

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
So, you are going to spend, what: $1,400+ for a b@d@ss gaming laptop -the HP 17.3" OMEN 17-cm2010nr Gaming Laptop (7H5D8UA), I presume, loaded with a powerful 13th-gen i7 processor, and a smoking (figuratively) RTX 4060 graphics card, and then complain about the power charger that is required to power this bad-boy laptop?
Besides, even if you were to use a lower wattage charger, such a charger will run much hotter than the stock 330-watt charger.
Preferably, you want every doggone watt this charger provides.

If I didn't persuade you to stick with the stock 330-watt charger with p/n: M34603-001 "SKO-330W AC ADPTR, PFC SMART 3Pin 4.5mm", and you still want to go smaller, after some research, with your config, I would not go one watt lower than this 280-watt HP charger: Amazon.com: New 280W AC Adapter for HP Laptop Charger, Power Adapter Compatible with OMEN by HP ZBoo....
Please be advised that I do not speak for HP, and I am not authorized by HP.
