Hi there, I used a friends HP Spectre x360 the other day and found that its screen would sit against the keyboard when held open in tablet mode. Mine however, doesn't. When I rotate the screen into tablet mode it pops slightly open when the entire device is held at 90 degrees.
e.g.
laptop in tablet mode should be like: || with first | keyboard facing left and second | the screen facing right
ground level at __
laptop then goes |/ with / being the position of the screen
I previously thought this was normal and a design flaw, but now I know it's a manufacturing issue I would like it to be resolved. Is this the correct place to post the issue and if so, how quickly can it be rectified?
Thanks
Jacob

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. I came across your post and would like to assist.
I understand that you have an HP Spectre x360 - 13-ac001na laptop. If I understand you correctly, the laptop screen does not change when the screen is turned at 360 degrees. Hence the screen remains the same like the way it is in the normal laptop mode.
When the display is at 360 degrees the display should look as shown in the below information:
And in normal laptop mode the screen should look like the one shown below:
Let me know if I have understood you correctly and if your HP laptops screen is not behaving this way.
Feel free to reply and I'll be glad to assist you further. Cheers! 🙂

Good evening, I'm afraid this is a physical hardware issue, nothing to do with the image on the screen. If I hold the laptop in tablet mode at 90 degrees the screen won't magnetically stick to the back of the keyboard, if that makes sense?
I didn't realise it was a defect until I tried another.
