Star Wars Special Edition Notebook 15-an001ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So after a fresh reset, i didn't check Device Manager at all and just went to downloading Steam, Games and so on. After a while i accidentally went into Device Manager and saw that the 3D Video Controller had a Warning sign ( the little Triangle ).

I clicked on update driver and let windows install. Then after it was "done" , it said it was unable to find the driver software.

So i checked online and couldn't really find anything. I asked on NVIDIA Forums, but those solutions didn't work sadly.

Now i'm asking here if anyone has/knows the Driver i need.

The 3D Video Controlelr Hardware Ids:

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1340&SUBSYS_80A4103C&REV_A2

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1340&SUBSYS_80A4103C

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1340&CC_030200

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1340&CC_0302

I hope this time i get good News and finally get to play on my Notebook again 🙂

Cheers,

Fuzzy

Hi:

I explored the driver file contents of the latest driver on your notebook's support page and it does not contain driver support for the hardware ID you posted.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if the driver directly from Nvidia works for you.

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/159092/en-us

I can't find the hardware ID you posted in the Nvdia file either.

Are you sure it isn't PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_134D? (Letter D)

So i checked again and it's not 134D , it's really 1340. I don't know what to do. I tried your suggestion, annnd it didn't work.

I tried every Youtube Video, multiple Nvidia Solutions and Hp Support solutions, even the ones from u... nothing worked. My Gpu isn't dead, the Cooler is working and everything.

I don't know anymore.

Tell me if u need anymore Info.

I just checked something. My Intel (R) HD Graphics 520 has the same last digits as the video Controller.

This is what i mean:

Intel: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1916&SUBSYS_80A4103C

Video Controller : PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1340&SUBSYS_80A4103C

Both have 80A4103C at the end. Idk if this helps, but yeah.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you any further with this issue if none of the drivers are working.

Hardware ID's are like fingerprints...unique to each device.

All I can say is that not one of the nVidia driver files from nVidia or HP, contain driver support for the hardware ID you posted, which is why none of the drivers are working.

Would like "coding" help? What i mean is like adding the Hardware Id into the .inf file inside the Installation Folder.

If not, i guess i'm done playing for some weeks maybe months.

Thanks anyways

I got more Info.  My Graphics Card is Geforce 940M what u prob know. In the section of my Graphics Card in the Installation .inf file, there is already a Hardware Id that goes like this : %NVIDIA_DEV.1347.80A4.103C% = Section028, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1347&SUBSYS_80A4103C

The same Hardware Id , just the 4 Digits after %NVIDIA_DEV.  are different.

I don't know if this helps 😕 I'm just trying to help in a way
