Hi there,
I recently decided to look at my memory usage in the resource monitor and noticed that I have 2174Mb reserved for hardware 3446 MB in use(when idle and google open) and 2613MB aprox for available use . Is this normal and apart from just ending processes I am not using which I have already done is there a way to decrease the RAM in use so more is available to use for activities such as gaming.
Thanks

The specs of your machine:
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06385585
It has AMD Ryzen™ 5 3500U with Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics (2.1 GHz base clock, up to 3.7 GHz max boost clock, 6 MB cache, 4 cores). That is a known issue which is related to AMD processors. Please check the following articles to explain why:

And from Microsoft PlayReady.

Hi,
sorry for the very late reply, these links you have posted do not open said articles. May you please post another set of links if you are able to find these articles again as I would be very interested into finding out why this issue occurs and if its resolvable.
Thanks

I don't know why for some reason HP removed the article (not Microsoft). Please try

Hello again,
Unfortunately the article did not help with resolving the issue as I do not believe I can access my AMD BIOS to change this setting. Is there a way to access the bios on my laptop? Or is there another way to change the ram usage?
Thanks again
