This issue occurs only with the 12 units of HP ProBook 450 G8 Notebook available at the institution. The laptops freeze randomly while in use, and nothing can be done except forcefully turning them off. RAM, SSD, and BIOS updates have been checked and replaced, but the condition remains the same.”

Thank you for your reply.

This issue only affects our 12 HP ProBook 450 G8 laptops. The laptops freeze randomly during use and become completely unresponsive until forced shutdown.

RAM modules, SSDs, BIOS updates, and hardware checks have already been performed and even replaced on some units, but the issue remains.

We also found multiple HP Community discussions mentioning FMAPOService / Fortemedia APO related memory leak issues on HP ProBook G8 series devices.

Could you please advise if there is any updated Realtek / Fortemedia driver or official HP fix available for HP ProBook 450 G8?

Thank you.
