Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

hi  I got this 601 error starting today. I would like to know if the battery they are referring to mean the CMOS small battery in the notebook? Also will changing this battery affect  or damage  the  data or memory? If I ignore it, will  the notebook not working eventually? Thanks a lot

@Hchan

Remove the battery and then boot.

DO NOT put the battery back in and boot leave it out then boot!!!

With the battery removed do you still receive the error when booting???

@Hchan

It is a little confusing but it is your MAIN battery.

If you can, remove the main battery and try to boot???

Do you still get the error???

So it is the long and big battery at the back ? I will try to remove it tomorrow  and see. Thanks

Hi. I have tried to pull that long battery out and wait for several minutes before putting it back but that message 601 is still there.  Thanks for your help anyway.
