Hi, I want to use 65W charger for my notebook, which had originally having a 45W charger, Is it advisable or does it cause any harm to the notebook.( Any way my battery is not charging)

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Your machine comes with 45W charger (AC Adapter). Its specs

Yes, you can use 65-W HP Smart adapter (non-PFC, EM, 3-wire, 4.5-mm) part # 714657-001. 65W charger with right part  won't harm your machine, only it is a bit heavier.

Looks like your machine could be over 4 years old, you may need to replace battery.(part # 761230-005). Please try the following test first
