Product: HP ENVY m6-1225dx Notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Display hinges (spare part number 686913-001) for HP ENVY m6-1225dx Notebook have become too loose. What is the nut size so I can tighten them?

There are no nuts. It is screws and you can't just "tighten" it. Likely hinges need replacement.

Yes, there is a nut at the end of the display hinge axle. I loosened them when the tension lead to my last screen breaking. I’m on screen number 3 and this replacement seems to be more top heavy than the last so I need to tighten the loosening I did last time. Easy to loosen with a pair of pliers but tightening requires a wrench. Looks like it could be a 4mm

It has never occurred to me to mess with those. Without having the hinge in hand there is no way to tell the size of the nut or its shape.
