Hello,
I'm trying to find out what's my laptop motherboard number. There is no labels at all. There is CPU A6-3410MX and GPU 6755G (6750M).
In service manual there two MB that match my spec: 650854-001 (A70M chipset) and 650851-001 (A60M chipset).
My question is, how to find out which is mine and is it possible to use different one from the catalogue with my CPU?
Thanks in advance,
R

This is your motherboard:
For use only with computer models equipped with an AMD A70M processor, the HD6750 graphics subsystem with 1024-MB of discrete memory, and USB version 3.0 665284-001
You have the A70M chipset because you have USB 3.0
I am not sure which manual you are looking at to get the part numbers you listed.
To use your CPU, you are going to have to use one of the AMD motherboards in the Service Manual. There is no other motherboard that fits and works in your laptop; they are proprietary one-off things.

Not and be sure it supports USB 3.0. Just because the chipset supports it does not mean HP implemented it. But when you buy the motherboard you can ask if it has one or more USB 3.0 ports, which are either blue on the center plastic piece and/or have an SS with a lightning bolt for super speed. 665284-001 certainly has USB 3.0

I have one additional question: can i use this card (600854-001) instead of original one (665284-001) regardless USB 3.0 option? Will it work with all default hardware? Seems like they are both identical and suited for A6-3410MX.

As far as I can tell all the optional AMD boards will operate with all the optional AMD processors so if that one is in the manual you can use it. Are you having trouble finding an exact replacement for yours?

Here, in Poland i've found one place where I can buy exact MB model, but with short warranty and quite expensive. I have to buy some cables as well, so I'm looking for relatively cheap solution. Foreign sites have more possiblities, but shipping cost is crazy.
There are plenty similar boards, cheaper and with longer warranty, hence I'm curious whether i can use them.
