Hi @MustyRed ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to install a TWAIN driver for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e All-in-One Printer and ensure proper compatibility with Adobe Pro, you can proceed as follows:
Steps to Install the TWAIN Driver
Connect the Printer via USB or Ethernet:
- Disconnect the printer from WiFi to avoid conflicts.
- Connect the printer directly to your Windows 11 laptop using either a USB cable or Ethernet cable.
Download the TWAIN-Compatible Driver:
- Visit the official HP support website: HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
- Enter your printer model: OfficeJet Pro 8028e.
- Select Windows 11 as your operating system.
- Look for HP Full Feature Software and Driver or any specific TWAIN driver available for scanning functionality.
- Download and install the driver package.
Install the Full Feature Driver:
- During installation, choose USB or Ethernet as the connection type.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Enable TWAIN for Scanning:
- After installation, confirm that the TWAIN driver is installed by:
- Opening Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your HP printer and select Scan properties to verify TWAIN support.
Set Up Adobe Acrobat for Scanning:
- Open Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Navigate to File > Create > PDF from Scanner > Custom Scan.
- Select your HP printer under Scanner. Ensure it detects the TWAIN interface.
- Adjust the scan settings as needed.
Additional Tips for Stability:
- Update Firmware: Ensure your printer firmware is up to date via the HP Smart app or from the HP support website.
- Avoid Sleep Mode: Go to the printer’s settings and disable or extend the sleep timer to maintain a stable connection.
- Troubleshoot Ethernet: If using Ethernet, ensure the cable is securely connected and the printer has a valid IP address.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
