I didn't buy it to try and make it better. I bought it because my 17yr old daughter is a "Klumsy Karp". If she broke it, I wouldn't be out much. She's leaving for the Army on monday, and will no longer need it. Just thought I'd give an upgrade a try. Still functions flawlessly..... Minus the crapware that came with it. I was actually thinking of running Win7 on it, but I can't find the Win7 drivers for it, and I want to keep the touch screen in use.

I'll probably keep 8.1 on it, but If I can find the Win7 drivers, I'll convert it.

I appreciate everyones input.

Actually, I think I'm just going to install a 500gb/SSD drive, and be done with it. That alone will go a long way towards increasing the speed.

Yes that is the best thing you can do and will help tremendously.

Well, I was able to get 8gb/Ram to work in this computer, AND a f024wm. You need to completely discharge the computer by holding down the power button for a minute or two, then use ONLY:

PC3l -12800s 1.35 volt memory. 1.5 volt memory, is a no go.

Works every time on these little budget touchscreens with only 1 memory slot.

Just FYI for anyone who's tried, and failed at a memory upgrade on these.

I actually have accumulated a few of these. They are reliable, and work pretty well for general computing (NOT gamers!). But the y DO have the build quality of an '85 Yugo..... Well, maybe not THAT bad.:p

Yes, PC3L-12800s is what works.
