8gb ddr4 ram with 2400mhz installed in one slot in hp pavilion gaming 15ec0101ax, i want to add one more 16gb ddr4 ram with 2666mhz in 2nd slot.

I want to run both slot ram, with 24 gb of ram. In this can i use both slot or whether ot works or not?

The Crucial memory you want to buy should work fine and since your notebook can support 2 x 16 GB of memory, it will support 24 GB of memory.
Just note that the memory will still run in single channel mode because in order for the memory to run in dual channel mode, it must be installed in matching capacities (2 x 4 Gb, 2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB...).

Yes, that would be fine.
The memory just won't run in dual channel mode.
The service manual does not show a 16 + 8 GB configuration, but they do show an 8 + 4 configuration and that would be no different except for the greater amount of memory.
