Hi @bruno7293,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Restart the Laptop:
- Turn off your laptop and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve the issue.
Check for Blockages:
- Ensure that the ventilation openings on the sides and bottom of the laptop are not blocked by dust or debris. Use compressed air to clean out any blockages.
BIOS Update:
- Ensure your laptop's BIOS is up-to-date. Visit the official HP website to download the latest BIOS updates for your model.
Power Reset:
- Complete a power reset by turning off your laptop, unplugging it from the power source, and removing the battery if possible. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, then reconnect the battery and power source and turn the laptop on.
Fan Test:
- Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool to test the functionality of the cooling fan. This tool can help identify whether the fan is working properly or requires replacement.
I hope this helps.
