hp pavilion 14-al105ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a hp pavilion 14-al105ne

Here are the specs: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-14-al1..

I noticed the computer heats up (The chassis really heats up) so I downloaded speedfan and it told me that I have 2 fans one running at 3000+rpm while gaming and the other is constant on 200- rpm doesnt increase at all even while in gaming

So for example when I play a game like tf2(from 2007 but cpu dependent) temp1 (Which I guessed to be cpu) rises to about 83-88C and I check the maximum cpu temperature and it was 100C so that is really heating up when I ran another game it was 73c which is fine. Other components like gpu, core 0, core 1 are around 70 which is fine. So do I have a problem with the fan? because I just bought it yesterday and have 1 year warranty.

Same thing over here. Bought a HP Omen 2017 about 3 weeks ago and have a fan that is constantly idling at around 100-200rpm. Would love to have some input from HP regarding this.

As I understand you are having issues with the fan problem and laptop is getting overheated.  Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

What is the product number of your product? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

Have you tried to update the Bios?

Let's try these steps here:

Updating the BIOS

Using HP CoolSense technology

Placing the notebook in a cooler room

Testing for hardware failure

If the hardware has failed, capture the failure ID and revert for further assistance.

For additional steps, please follow this link: HP Notebook PCs - Fan is Noisy and Spins Constantly, PC is Warmer than Normal

I hope this should do the trick. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

Let me know if those steps worked for you.

If they did, that’s awesome!

Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

That’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!

Good Luck.

You realize it is not only a problem related to my notebook only?

So clearly not a software issue

Product number: Z9E79EA#ABV

Someone in another forums suggested that it might be a glitch in the program and I only have 1 fan. Is this true? Cant you check whether this computer has two fans or no? Or whether one is not functioning properly?

Hi, my laptop is running the latest bios and this still happens. If it is bios, then HP really have to look into the recent bios update

Hi @stevenching,

Thank you for replying,

I appreciate your time and efforts,

As I understand you have followed the steps suggested and still having the issue, I would suggest you to run an extensive system diagnostics test from F2 (Please capture the failure ID for further assistance).

Let me know how it goes for further assistance.
