Hello, I'm needing some help finding specs on my ac adapter. I'd READ the danr thing, but i've had it almost five years and due to how i've had to move about during this time, all labels have worn off. I've tried contacting what.. abysmal and non-existent suppor there is for a live agent ehre on HP, but ebtween overpricing their replacement parts, and jsut generally trying to be elitist, they don't exist and i'm not paying over a hundred bucks jsut for information and then using that up to get a new adapter.

the wires that power the head of the adapter are severed through bending and general use/movement. I'm needing a replacement and can't find the documentation on HPs' website that will tll me what the diameter of the plug is, style of said plug, or the wattage/voltage it puts out.. kind of makes it difficult to find and get a good replacement. i don't know why they do it- maybe to force us to overpay them for a replacement? anyhow, if anyone can help me find these specifications that'd be great and wonderful.

thank you, merry christmas, happy holidays, and have a wonderfully safe and fun new years - hopefully with friends and family/loved ones.

What's the point in doing jsut enough? you don't put forth effort and what you do is going to crumble.

We can look it up for you if you'd give us the Model number or Product ID from the label on the bottom of the laptop.

Your Service Manual  on page 26 lists the following part numbers-

HP Smart AC adapter
65-W EM    714635-850
65-W           710412-001
45-W           741553-850

Not really sure which models use the 65W adapter.  It depends on the configuration, which cpu you have, 2nd graphics card etc.
