AC Adapters not charging laptop - even with brand new battery

Hi there-

After running a myriad of advised diagnostic tests thinking my battery was not functioning properly, the issue still seems to be how the AC adapter physically connects with the machine - it doesn't seem to making proper contact. I have two adapters and neither can charge the machine - even with a brand new battery. Is this an issue that requires a hardware fix - and probably something I cannot do myself? Guidance appreciated

Some additional context: the laptop does power on when plugged in, but the battery state in the HP support assistant says it's "not charging."

Please disregard the above post. The battery needed to be charged overnight. Seems to be working as intended. (wasn't able to delete my original post). Thank you.
