Based on you laptop serial number you can search the drivers on the HP support web site, and then look for HP 3D DriveGuard.

In Italy we say "non puoi avere sempre la pappa pronta". Which basically means you should at least try yourself a little bit harder.

ACPI means it is something hardware-detection related. HPQ0004 means it is probably related to HP 3D DriveGuard.

USB means it is related to the USB communication interface.

VID means Vendor Identification.

138A means 0x138A which means Validity Sensors, Inc.

Which means it is a biometric sensor, like a fingerprint sensor.

I have been at this for days. I am not a tech but do research and not afraid to try things.

I never thought to search by serial number.

I used a different browser and all works. THANK YOU so much!
