OMEN Laptop - 15-ek0019tx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello Community!!

Im running an hp gaming laptop (OMEN 15 EK0019tx).The system has the f10 bios version(23/08/2021).

I did try to decrease the maximum processor state till 50%, though I don't see any major change.

Most of the times I run a game as simple as minecraft, or just hang out with my friends in discord vc,(while the laptop is plugged in),

it shuts down. I did touch the notebook physically and its really BARBEQUE level hot and I have to remove my fingers off it instantly.

The event id I get when I visit event viewer is 88.

Already checked another forum discussion on this event id but could'nt find much relevant to my needs.

Thanks,

Sai Krishna.

I recommend installing the latest version of BIOS available for your Omen notebook.

Here is a link to the software and driver portal for your notebook

Check your installed software to see if HP Sure Run is installed.

Another forum member with the very same Thermal Event issue stated that uninstalling it has resolved the issue.
