I keep getting this error every time I try and update my AMD A6-3420M APU with Radeon (TM) HD Graphics (4 CPUs), ~1.5GHz:
Error 175-AMD Installer cannot continue due to unsupported AMD graphics hardware. Click here to learn more.
This is what it says I have installed:
15.301.1901his
I have tried to work with AMD for support, but I keep getting the runaround or they say I either need to reach out to Microsoft or HP for assistance. Yes, I do keep my system updated. May I please obtain some assistance with how I can resolve this?

AMD Radeon HD 6520G
15.301.1901 should be the latest compatible driver for your hardware. Nothing newer will be issued. Many users have had trouble installing it and uninstalling the existing driver and installing the 15.301.1901 as a new install has been reported to work.

Before I go any further with this I just want to go over a couple of other things with you. First, when you say to uninstall the driver are you referring to the physical driver or the initial information pertaining to the processor itself in the device manager? For example, under my processor, this is what's listed 4 times: AMD 6-3420M-APU with Radeon(TM) HD Graphics. Would I need to right-click on each of them and uninstall each one and then go out to the AMD website and redownload the 15.301.1901file and install that one instead?

This is an APU. That means the video is processed in the processor not in a separate video card. You do not need to uninstall the processor driver. You see multiple instances of the processor as it is a multi-core and the sytem sees each core as a separate processor. Only the display adapter driver. Yes uninstall the display dapter driver so that you get a low res crummy looking image. Have the video driver you want on the desktop. Install it after uninstalling the previous. I will say you cannot expect a lot of benefit from the newest driver on this fairly obsolete system. You might want to leave well enough alone and just understand you have an older video system that is not capable of much heavy lifting. What prompts you to try to update the driver?

As mentioned in the previous messages, every once in a while I receive a pop-up window from AMD saying there is an update for my graphics card. When I go to click on the link it takes me to a page on their website for me to download the updated version. However, when I do this and try to install it, I get an error message each time and it takes me back to the same page where I had downloaded the update. I have no interest in purchasing a new graphics card and intend to keep my laptop as long as it continues to function or when I decide to go get a new one.
Huffer, thank you so much for your patience and assistance in answering my questions.
