Enabling Legacy Mode in BIOS solved my problem. 17.7.2 is working properly now. 🙂

How do I enable legacy mode in BIOS?

I can't find that option in BIOS settings.

Please, I have the exact same problem described in this thread

Update the Bios from hp driver web site.

Already had updated this BIOS, otherwise I couldn't update do creators update

Already managed to boot with legacy mode, I had to disable safe boot first.

I've also installed 17.7.2 driver update sucessfully.

But still, HP should solve this issue as many users have no idea what to do or can't even access BIOS.

I do agree with you. At least we did manage to solve this one. 17.7.2 is so much better than 17.4.3.

hi.. managed to update the drivers using windows device manager by enabling legacy mode in bios before the update (as per the recommendations above).

now my computer works flawlessly. prior to this it was unable to detect my LG widescreen monitor.

thanks so much..!

You are welcome. Glad you did manage.

Still a shame HP didn't solve that one.
