Hello,
I've been using HP 15 Pavilion since abouta 5 years, im fine with it so far except the performance of my HDD (Hitachi 500 GB) at loading screens (especially at gamings etc.) I decided to change my HDD to a SSD that will load loading screens in games better than before. So i bought HP SSD S700 120 GB. It didn't deliver yet, so i got a couple of questions before i start implementing it. Does HP offer any firmware updates, tools for their SSD just like Samsung Evo's samsung magician program? I'm afraid it'll lack of performance without tools etc. in case that happens.. If anyone has any knowledges about HP SSDs, please don't hesitate to share them with me/others. Thank you.

What is your machine ? Your machine currently has 500GB and your plan is to replace wit ONLY 120GB. What do you think ? The HP S700 series is

And yes, it should work BUT again, only 120GB it won't go far. You can use 1TB or even 2TB using Crucial MX500 or Samsung 860 EVO series or other vendors.
HP S700 series only has max 500GB (S700) or 1TB (S700 Pro) as shown on the above sheet.
Regards.

@Banhien
Thank u for ur reply. My machine should be this: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04492518
And yes, im aware of the 120 GB limit, i don't really mind the size but performance to be honest. I'll just take this till it lasts if my machine supports it. I very hope it will work.

Well, it is up to your decision. 120GB will be filling up very fast and this WILL slow your machine down because your data/files have to fight each others to get a place (you know what I mean).
