The M.2 slot in any 15-bsXXX notebook only supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

Here is proof that a NVMe SSD does not work in the 15-bsXXX model series...

It should work but it won't run at PCIe 4 speed. You can use Samsung 980 with PCIe 3x4 or Samsung 970 products, could be a bit cheaper.
