I have the pavilion laptop 14-bf108ne, it had great specs on paper at the time I got it but the overall performance is quite disappointing actually. The battery died after like 4 or 5 months of usage
I want to get a new battery and I can't find an original one anywhere, not even on the hp website. The battery part number is 920070-855
I want to upgrade the laptop too, it currently has 12 GB of ram (1x4 + 1x8 gb), can it support 32 GB?
Can I remove the 4 gb one and add a 16 gb one to make the total ram 24 gb? but the problem is the installed ram is at 2400 MHz and the one I'm planning to get is 2666 MHz... will it work?
my model has Intel Core i7-8550U processor and 4 GB of discrete graphics memory the model part is 940762-xx1
it has a 256 gb m.2 SATA III SSD, can it support 512 or 1 tb? and does the board support any other types of the m.2 other than the SATA III or it has to be SATA III m.2?

Here is the Service Manual:
Only supports SATA M.2 SSD but can use as big a capacity as you can buy. 2 TBs readily available. Memory is DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM. DDR4-2666 would probably work but unpredictable whether it runs as dual channel when mixed with -2400. Will never be dual channel if you use mixed-size modules. Stay away from performance or gaming memory. Battery:
HP will no longer carry batteries on many models over about a year old.
Post back if you have any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Thank you so much for your reply.
I have a couple of questions.
Can it support 32 GB of ram?
I won't mix the ram, does this mean if I got the 2666 ram it will be okay? or do I need to find 2400 MHz? I'm planning to get a single CRUCIAL RAM DDR4 16GB 2666MHZ or 2x8 gb..
as for the battery it says it's not available on the link you gave me and it's also on amazon italy.
i found these, but as they all are not the original hp ones I'm quite hesitant, would you recommend one?

As long as the battery is compatible with the HP Part number
920070-855
, which the links you sent me seem to be, they will be fine. There is a very strong aftermarket battery industry and the batteries are generally high quality. In some cases they are made in the same factories that make branded batteries. If it comes from amazon focus on the ones that are "Prime" and have good feedback.
And yes you can install 32 gigs. DDR4-2666 will work it will just downclock. And, avoid "HyperX" or other "gaming" or performance memory as it will just run at stock timings anyway and may keep the computer from POSTing.
