1.  RAM: It has 2 slots and can upgrade to 8GB max. It has 4GB now. You can use a tool called CPU-Z to see it has 2x2GB or 1x4GB

      (a) If 2x2GB: you need both slots, you can upgrade using

                              https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/hp-1000-1416tx/CT9469810

      (b) If 1x4GB: you only need 1 slot you can upgrade using

                             https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/hp-1000-1416tx/CT9469805

2. SSD: You can upgrade internal HDD to 2.5" SSD using Crucial MX500 or Samsung 860EVO or similar from other vendors such as SanDisk, WD, ... for example

          https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/hp-1000-1416tx/CT11216018   (500GB)

          https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/hp-1000-1416tx/CT11515871   (1TB)

          https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/hp-1000-1416tx/CT11356419   (2TB)

Note: For HDD you can also use normal 2.5" mechanical HDD up to 2TB from good vendors (normally over 2TB HDD's are thicker, they won't physically fit).

Regards.

I have no clear knowledge about SSD and HDD. All that I know that SSD are faster than hdd . Now I want to know clearly that which one of them is being used by my laptop of that model. is it SSD or hdd. One thing more, if it is using SSD then as hdd is cheaper than SSD,can I upgrade it's storage using internal hdd?
