Greetings! I bought a new freedos hp omen 17 rtx 4060 gaming laptop last week. I installed windows 11 pro to my new freedos laptop, after that i entered hp drivers website to download and install available drivers for my laptop, i clicked at "auto recognize drivers" but it didn't work so i had to download "all available drivers" manually and install them manually. I installed them one by one including Bios update named "Hp Notebook System BIOS Update (Intel Processors) F.05 Rev.A" oh no, i didn't know that it was a dangerous update, bios update completed succesfully but now i feel that i've done something that i should not have done. Do you think did it cause any damage to my new laptop?

Hi @Aptullah
"Do you think did it cause any damage to my new laptop? "
You have not described anything out of the ordinary or even a failure to use an installed operating system.
How can anyone even answer your question?
If it boots to Windows 11 and is working, then everything should be fine.

Hi @Erico
Everything seems fine after the bios update, i have another question, do you know what is my laptop's factory bios version? Why i am asking is that i think i installed the same bios version which was already installed before by hp.
Thanks in advance!

You're welcome!
I would have no way of knowing which BIOS version was installed at the factory.
The BIOS version would depend on the date that your laptop was configured in the assembly line.
All I can do is look at the list that is available in the Software & Driver portal.
If it installed, there is a possibility that you just refreshed the ROM file that was already present.
You can check the BIOS version that is installed while logged into Windows.
In the search box, type in msinfo and then click on the system information app that appears in the list above.
Look in the list for BIOS Version/Date.
The value to the right of that will be the currently installed BIOS version.
