Certainly! To enable the **Overtype mode** in **Microsoft Word**, follow these steps:
1. Open **Word** on your computer.
2. Click on the **File** tab.
3. Select **Options** (usually located at the bottom-left corner).
4. In the **Word Options** dialog box, navigate to the **Advanced** tab.
5. Under **Editing options**, you have two choices:
- To use the **Insert key** to control Overtype mode, select the **Use Insert key to control overtype** check box.
- Alternatively, if you want Overtype mode enabled always, select the **Use overtype mode** check box.
Once you've made your selection, click **OK** to apply the changes. Now you can use the **Insert key** to toggle Overtype mode on or off as needed.
