Looking to only carry one power supply when I travel. I've got a CPAP machine with a 24v transformer that fits my hp Pavilion dv6. I've found on the board recommendations not to use a 24v transformer, wanted to ask if anyone has actually done it and what were the results?
Thanks!

I myself have not tested this because I did not want to burn my machine to dead. Normally it is safe to use standard voltage on charger plus or minus 5% only. I believe your DV6 charger is under 20v.
Regards.

the spec is 19v, not 24vdc
do not run 24vdc. imo.
no example stated.
what pack name it.
120vac and 24vdc out , it is unregulated or regulated, if un-regulated many packs put out 30vdc.
did you use a meter, to prove its only 24vdc?
and now many watts, 65w min. is par.
is this and AIRCRAFT USAGE????
so asking use to blow up a $100 to $300 mobo
who'd do that? and why try?
have you seen this, (ive no idea at all your APPLICATIon ) so im shooting from the hip
here is the air craft version
10-24vdc in, and 19v out., its a DC to DC inverter, not a transformer. which is AC only (ask Tesla why)
do not exeed the HP manuals instructions.
