Hello,
I bought this laptop a week ago and it has a 1TB HDD installed. I want to upgrade to an SSD but I want to know if I can buy M.2 NVME for it. Now I found the manual for the laptop online:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06147959
It says on page 48 that there's a solid state bracket and connector board. How do I know if my laptop model has those or not?
I don't want to open it in order not to void the warranty. The HP authorized store will do the upgrade for me but I need to know what to buy now.
Thank you in advance

Yes your laptop is compatible with NVME M.2 SSD.
See p. 42 for a good image. The M.2 slot is to the right of the battery. You do not need the board and cable for an SSD. That is only for placing a SATA M.2 SSD in place of the hard drive in the 2.5 inch bay. The design allows your original hard drive plus an NVME M.2 such as Samsung Evo 970 Plus.
