Hi,

 

My laptop Details are mentioned below:

Model No: HP15-cb045wm

CPU : i7-7700HQ @ 2.80 GHz

SSD Details : Samsung 980 NVMe m.2 SSD 

Ram:  8GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB Samsung Manufacturer) - 1 slot empty

            Speed : 2400MHz

            Form factor : SODIMM

 

I want to add additional 16gb of ram in another slot , so can anyone help me on selecting brand (company name), speed (2400MHz or 3200MHZ or 3600MHZ) of new ram.

 

since I was reading some reviews I found out that corsair brand is on top, so can I buy corsair or else suggest some other brand and speed details.

 

I am using these system for 3D CAD Designing (Solidworks), so I need better performance. 

 

If any other details are required then please let me know.

actually i want to know ram frequency, since I am already having ram of 2400MHz frequency, can i go for 3200MHZ or 3600MHz frequency or i have to installed 2400MHz only and which company is good.

 

Please suggest brand & frequency.

The chipset  and the BIOS on the system board determine. the maximum memory module frequency.

 

Even if you install 3200 Mhz memory it will automatically downclock to 2400 MHz.

 

Crucial is a well regarded brand. DDR4-2400
