Hello everyone,
My name is Luis and I have a HP Pavilion x360 laptop - 14-cd0004la, Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8130U CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21 GHz, RAM 12.0 GB (11.8 GB usable) Operating system 64 bits, x64 processor, Windows 11 Home Single Language, 22H2, I want to add more memory but I don't know how much more I can add, I previously had 4 GB of ram and I added 8 GB, for a total of 12 GB, but I want to change the 4GB memory for a larger one, can someone please help me know how much I could change the 4 GB memory that I have.
Thank you

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.
Your notebook has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-2400 memory.
The 12 GB max memory limit in the manual is not correct.
So, if you just want to install another 8 GB memory chip in the notebook that will be fine.
However, the memory will still only run in single channel mode.
In order for the memory to run in the better performing dual channel mode, you have to install matching memory capacities in both slots (2 x 4 GB, 2 x 8 GB),
