I am thinking about selling my HP Spectre and buying a De** instead.
Got my work device (De** Latitude) these days and first thing I activated was the battery/power managment set to "on power supply most of the time" and letting the battery IDLE between 80% and 60%.
I do not understand what is the problem with HP.

A new BIOS update appeared yesterday (F.14 Rev.A). As usual, I dont see anything relevant on the changelog
- Improves system compatibility and stability.
- Provides enhanced security. NOTE: HP strongly recommends transitioning promptly to this updated BIOS version which supersedes all previous releases.
Im guessing HP just doesnt care much about this request nor their customers

New BIOS is out, the function is still not there. I've been trying to chat with HP support and ask them to communicate the issue to whom they think would be most effective for a future BIOS update, and you know what three of them told me: they cannot help because I am from Bosnia!!!
The issue is not region related, but they simply do not care - they just find ways to cut you off.
The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. My first and definitely last HP device.

BIOS version F.15 was released last 07/21/20. Its dated 07/07/20. This release seems to be an emergency replacement for F.14 which they had pulled a couple weeks ago and, at least for me, it was very buggy.
F.15 still doesnt offer any battery charge level management. What a joke with HP.....
