I want to replace my memory card with larger capacity once, but when I started to work on removing the bottom of my laptop I found under the back rubber foot pads were not screws. They appear to be some type of locking mechanism where they have teeth around the outside and one hole on the top. Anyone know how you unlock these devices?

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Chapter 5, page 22 indicates the type of fasteners they are...Torx T8.
You will need a set of Torx drivers to remove those screws.
You need to get a set that at least includes the T8 size. Something like this...

Paul, I also looked at the Manual and the six screws on the bottom are T5 torque screws. The manual shows philips screws under the two back foot pads. When I removed the two back rubber feet, mine has two round kind of gears with a hole in them. Not sure what kind of tool fits over this to unlock the bottom.

I feel like a fool because I had removed the rubber feet and found these other round disk. When I tried some pliers that have grooved ends, come to find out these were another set of rubber disk that had really good adhesive holding them in place. Needless to say I now have the new memory in the laptop and it is running great.
