Just bought an HP Laptop 15 (product #4JB82UA#ABA). Box is showing 4 GB of RAM.
1. I want to know if this is upgradable to 8 GB. Specs indicate 0 slots available.
2. If yes, do I need to remove the 4GB stick and replace it with an 8 GB stick?
3. Also, how do I know what type of RAM to buy for this laptop? I plan to add the RAM myself if it’s just adding or replacing the RAM stick. Any info would be appreciated. Ty.

Hi:
I cannot find a service manual for that model series.
If your notebook only has one memory slot as reported, then you can remove the 4 GB memory chip and replace it with an 8 GB memory chip.
If after opening up the notebook, you find two memory slots, you can upgrade to a max of 2 x 8 GB of memory.
Here is the link to the service video library for the model series which will help you open up the notebook.

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory module...
