Hi. I have HP Pavilion x360 - 14-ba018ca (Product Number 1UG15UA). As it comes with 256 GB M.2 SSD, I wish to add another SATA SSD into it so my question is does this laptop has SATA slot ready to accept another SATA III SSD/HDD? Or do I need some parts to add the additional SSD?
Thanks.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 256 GB M.2 SSD drive installed on the PC.
Hard drive: Support for 6.35-cm (2.5-in) hard drives in 7.2-mm and 7.0-mm (0.28-in) thicknesses.
Check below table for more information on storage:
I would suggest here is to go through the Maintenance and Service guide of your HP notebook, ( refer to Chapter 1 Product description )
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi Echo,
Thank you for your reply. However, regrettably, this does not clarify what I asked. As I understand the m2 SSD I already have in my laptop has been installed in the slot at motherboard, close to rams slots. I wish to add an additional following SATA SSD (https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-860-evo-2-5--sata-iii-500... in the laptop and I am aware that there is space in this laptop to accept 2.5" SSD. What I wish to know about is that is there already built in SSD slot inside my laptop where I can plug this SSD in or do I need additional adapter like this ?(https://www.amazon.com/Deal4GO-Connector-M6-AQ005DX-M6-AQ003DX-450-07K06-0001/dp/B07MYCCCTG/ref=pd_c...)?
Thanks & Regards.

Hello Echo_Lake,
I opened the laptop but there was no SATA slot or adapter inside, just the empty space to add HDD/SDD. It was extremely hard to open this laptop and it was big disappointment to see the laptop was not ready to accept HDD as it is. So kindly avoid giving wrong response. thanks.

If you still are open to discussing post back. But you have already guessed you will need additional hardware to mount and attach a 2.5 inch SSD or HDD in addition to the M.2. We have had some luck helping folks find those parts as they do not seem to be made available in HP Parts system.

The hard drive spare part kit does not include the hard drive rubber sleeve. The hard drive rubber sleeve is available using spare part number 924283-001
Here is the cable:
