I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15.6", Intel Core i5-9300H, NVIDIA GTX 1050 3GB, 8GB Memory, 256GB SSD,15-dk0051wm and I need more space for gaming what do I need to get and do to add more space? Can I get a attachable hard drive or do I need something else?

I would purchase a 1 or 2 TB M.2 SSD to replace the 256 GB M.2 SSD that is already there. You will need to clone your OS to the new SSD before installing it.
That is done with an inexpensive USB adapter
Guaranteed compatible M.2 SSD products for your laptop
Kingston Memory (includes cloning software)
Crucial Memory (no cloning software included)
