i have a  HP Laptop 15 da2-xxx i want to add an additional 4gb ram card(i already have an existing one)

i am not sure what type of RAM and specification i should use

Your notebook uses DDR4-2666 CL19 memory.

 

You can also use DDR4-3200 CL22 memory which will automatically bridge to 2666 MHz.

 

HP only has the service manual for the older model series that has the Intel 8th generation core processors.

 

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Seems like a lot of work to go through just to add a 4 GB memory chip.

 

An 8 GB chip hardly costs any more.

 

I recommend that you install 2 x 8 GB of memory so you can get better performance than 2 x 4 GB of memory will provide.

it is a Intel corei5 10th Gen
