I have a 15-cs3003ca laptop I got in Canada from Costco.
It comes with a 512gb m.2 SSD and inside it has space for a second hard drive of larger format (normal laptop HDD)
I have an existing sata laptop hard drive that fits, but there is no cable to connect the hard drive.
On the mother board I see next to this space a small connector for a ribbon cable labeled HDD, but there is no cable, just the connector.
And I don't see how I would power the SATA hard drive from that small connector.
1: is it possible for me to add a second drive or am I **bleep** out of luck cause HP didn't include the cable with this model?
2: if it is possible, what kind of drive is required (does an older SATA 5400 RPM work or do I need to buy a new one?) And where can I purchase the required cables?

1. Yes, you need 2 more parts
The hard drive brackets are available using spare part number L19469-001.
The hard drive cable is available using spare part number L23889-001
Parts are not available from HP Partstore

Please use part # and search for online stores.
2. 5400RPM is fine
Regards.

The 3.5" HDD won't fit to your machine physically. You need 2.5" HDD and yes, you still need HDD cable.

Thanks a lot, Banhien!
May I ask you about the wi-fi module. Here installed Realtek RTL 8822CE (AW-CB375NF).
I found out that the model Intel AX200NGW is a good module. Is it worth to change existing Realtek RTL 8822CE to AX200NGW?
Thanks

The AX2* wifi cards are new generation of wifi cards. I have not tested them and don't have any plan to test them on my existing machines (from around 10 years old to few months old).
I saw a post saying he/she had problem with new card. It simply did not work. I would wait for my next purchase.
Regards.
