Just want to confirm before I purchase addition hard disk.

Currenty using old hard disk and will like to add another ssd hard disk internal.

I intent to make it bootable.

Does the notebook have M.2 slot?

If yes, Sata or Nvme ?

I am looking at around 500 GB, can the notebook support it?

Hi,

The notebook does not have an M2 slot for an M2 SATA3 or an M2 PCIe SSD.

It might have an mSata slot, however, you will need to remove the motherboard, flip it and see if the actual physical slot is present on the motherboard.

The best idea is to replace the Hard Drive with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD of your preferred brand and capacity

On page 69 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the drive

You can create a USB drive with Windows on it and use this drive to reinstall the OS
