Hi everyone,
I have bought a new hard drive to put into the laptop (primary drive is an M2 drive but i want to increase storage).
I have bought a cable, and i'm plugging it into the port on the board labelled HDD, but after booting up the drive isn't spinning up and isn't recognised in Windows.
Has anybody done the same and got it to work - am i missing a trick?
And has anyone bought a caddy for the drive? The one i got is too big 😞
Thanks in advance
Rob

Hi everyone,
So i did a lot more searching and eventually found this cable - which looks the same, but must be subtly different ...

And the drive is now working 🙂

No power. Definitely something to do with the cable. Did you buy the right part # ? What is it ? From where ?
Regards.
