hello,
I am wondering if I can insert a new RAMM beside the original RAM in my laptop. The new ram is not new completely it is from my old laptop HP pavillion G6 1300 sx .
My lap has two memory slots and the RAM is 8 GB in one slot.
Is this useful or harmful ???? I Want to add it just for upgrade.
Thanks a lot

Hi,
You old G6 laptop uses DDR3-1333 MHz RAM (with 1,5V)
Your new 450 G3 laptop uses PC3L-12800, 1600-MHz RAM (with 1.35V)
You can see, this is not going to work. They are not same speed, same voltage.
Regards.
