Example: Pavilion X360-14-CD0056TX 4LR36PA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 20 month old HP Pavilion X360 -14-CD0056TX notebook. It came with a 512GB SSD. I am running out of space, and wanted to know if I could add another SSD (1TB or more) in addition to the existing SSD.

Any help or guidance will be appreciated!

Hi,

It is possible to add another 2.5" SATA3 HDD or SSD. However, you will need to purchase

Hard drive rubber sleeve for use in full-featured models       part number L18225-001

Hard drive cable       part number L18218-001

You can see the steps to install the drive on page 40 of service manual:

The best idea would be to upgrade the M2 PCIe NVMe SSD with a higher capacity one. There is no limit to capacity so you could insert a 2TB drive (naturally at a cost)

You can then reinstall the OS and even use the old drive in an external housing as a super fast external drive.

Hope it helps,

David
