As I can add extra storage for this laptop, I have been researching a lot and have not found a final answer for my problem, Many say that it cannot be added, but the motherboard of the machine has a free 8 pin input.

I search on ebay, and I only see 10-pin flex, not 8.

From your photos, no available port for a 2.5" HDD/SSD and the manual (page 2) says the series ONLY has single storage option with M.2 SDD (can be SATA or NVMe). If you need more space, you can REPLACE existing 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD to 500GB or 1TB or 2TB using

I am someone else, did you see the photo? The equipment has a port to add, for that reason I put my post

According to service guide here Service Guide no model of that series came with a 2nd hdd from the factory. I certainly seems like there is room for one, but if HP didn't offer a 2nd hdd kit with cable and mounting kit then you are on your own.
