Pavilion x 360 Convertible - Product ID: 2DS97UA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product: Pavilion x 360 Convertible - Product ID: 2DS97UA#ABA

Model: 2DS97UA HP Pav x360 Convert 15-br095ms

Existing Storage: 128GB SSD

I would like to add an additional HDD to my laptop. I know that HP sells this laptop in a dual HD configuration with one SSD and one HDD.

Looking up the Service Guide it seems that the following part number is for 1TB SATA drive:

1-TB, 5400-rpm, SATA hard drive      Part no.762888-859

Questions:

1. Is there physicall space in the laptop and can I add the HDD in addition to the SSD?

2. What is the part number for the SATA cable to connect the HDD inside the laptop?

3. Is the above part number for the HDD correct for my laptop? I did order the part number and received it however that does not have the cable with it, hence the question.

Appreciate the help!

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see you need help in upgrading the HDD, on HP Pavilion x360 - 15-br095ms notebook. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 128 GB M.2 SSD drive installed on the PC.

Next thing, I would suggest here is to go through the Maintenance and Service guide of your HP notebook, and found that your PC supports 1-TB, 5400-rpm, SATA, 8-GB hybrid hard drive & 500-GB, 5400-rpm, SATA, 8-GB hybrid hard drive.

To get the answer to this question, Yes! you can add HDD and part the numbers are correct.

You can contact HP part store and verify the part details, before purchasing or adding the drive.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks for your response. I ordered the hard drive and have received it.

Could you help answer the other questions? What is the part number for the cable? And the rubber Sleeve?

Thanks.
