Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

I have HP 15- r201tx configured 4Gb LPDDR3 RAM. My laptop is becoming slow and got hanged. I have to turn off power and restart it. I want to increase RAM by additional 4gb. Can it have additional port for RAM?

Will it support 8gb or 12gb RAM with i3 processor.

Please reply.

It supports 16GB (2 x 8GB) max. You can install the following compatible RAM

 

             https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr3/ct2kit102464bf160b/ct15023014

 

You can use 12GB (4GB + 8GB) but not recommended.

Hi there,

why you don't recommend (4gb + 8gb) RAM combination. Actually it has inbuilt 4gb RAM. If I got with the 8gb+8gb combination of RAM (as recommended by you), my 4gb RAM will be of waste.

I am from India, so please share the buying option from India only.
