HP Notebook - 15-da0087nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all!

I recently decided that I would like to enhance my laptop's gaming performance and am seeking advice on how I should proceed. I am not very tech savvy, so please forgive my ignorance, and I would truly appreciate any type of advice. My Laptop specs are below...

  • Brand: HP
  • Product name: Notebook - 15-da0087nr
  • Product code: 3VN15UA
  • EAN/UPC code: 0192545178860
  • Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • Intel Core i5-8250U (6MB Cache, 1.6GHz)
  • 39.6 cm (15.6") HD 1366 x 768
  • 8GB (2400MHz) DDR4-SDRAM (1 x 8 ) & 1000GB HDD

I realize that this laptop is not built for gaming, so I  am wondering what type of things I need to consider to improve games  that require graphics like "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD RX 480".

After doing some research, I have the following questions....

  • Which do I need to buy?
    • Graphics card
    • Power supply
    • Cables
    • Dock
  • How to install on laptop?
    • Hardware/software drivers
  • Compatibility
    • Pins, heat, type of eGPU card, etc.

I would be very grateful for any types of recommendations!!

Thank you,

mwatts

Please forget and NOT thinking about the graphics card which is impossible to upgrade. Actually you won't be able to upgrade video/graphics card on nearly all notebooks.

Regards.
