Further to my earlier response, I have jus checked the level of damage and think it's only the top glass that is cracked. The computer works fully but the touchscreen doesn't.

I gave you a link to the glass and digitizer. Before buying it I would find a local cell phone repair shop. Go in and ask hypothetically if you brought in the laptop and the part could they install it? Get a quote for labor only and labor and part. Don't tell them how much you have to pay for the part. I would check with a couple of them and let them know you are taking bids. They usually just get a few quid for a cell phone repair and can charge you more than they usually get. I would explain it that way. Ask for references, too. Should be a win-win if all goes well.
